Pat Donald Born in Cape Town, South Africa, comes from a family of artists. At a very young age she was encouraged to paint. She is a self-taught artist and taking no credit for herself believes that it is her Creator who has given her the talent and ability not only to paint beautiful art works, but also to impart her talents to others. Pat has been teaching art for 34 years at her own art school in Constantia. She is a versatile artist " If I can see it I can paint it" One of her favourite subject matter is people and through her brush she manages to bring a sense of realism, character and spontaneity to the canvas. She works mainly in oils and through the clever use of light, colour and texture she brings her subject to life. Pat can be commissioned to produce the 'perfect gift' through her paintings, whether it is of a beloved family member, your favourite pet or the CEO of a corporation. Portraits are a lasting gift that can be admired and cherished in any setting. Pat is based in Cape Town and is willing to travel to meet prospective clients. She works from photographs, which she can take or which clients can send to her. Her portraits have been commissioned internationally, She has had many solo exhibitions and her works have been shown in galleries across the country.
