I am inspired by Asia. I hope the viewers will feel and think how beautiful Asian women are. I chose the medium of oil on canvas because I try to paint masterpieces like the old art masters--Van gogh, Matisse and Picasso.

Jayce Kim Ordained Deacon, Artist, MA in Psychology Bronx, New York, USA Email: Websites: ; . 1962 Born: Seoul, Korea: March 13. Moved to USA at the age of 12; have been living in New York City since age of 15. 1987 Andover Togs, Inc.: Artist-- Hand painted on T-shirts, Animation Art works/ Samples for children’s Wear, Women’s wear design. 2003 Ordained Deacon from Presbytery Churches of New York City. Please visit her website 2004-2008 Federation of Organizations: Art & Activities Specialist—Implemented and facilitated Art Therapy and other therapeutic groups & activities at Queens Adult Care Center. I studied Fine Arts at Queens College and Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). All of my professors told me that I painted masterpieces! They told me it was up to me if I was going to be living Art Master like Matisse! My past 10 years of most recent work includes oil paintings of portraits of Native American Indians. I am not an American Indian, but Asian artist (Korean) who shares the ethnicities, diversity in our American heritage. My website features my PopArt—watercolor paintings inspired by Rock & Roll Songs! I paint every day. I am very happy to grow and evolve as an artist; looking forward to moving on-- and paint more Abstract, Impressionism and Surreal paintings; not like my paintings of Realism which I painted my whole life. My work is not controversial or arte brute. I am not political. I don’t know what statement I am supposed to make in each painting, but I strive to paint beautiful original Masterpiece paintings like van Gogh, Picasso, Matisse and Monet. I paint like a poet who sees the ordinary world-- extraordinary, I paint making this ordinary world-- an extraordinary world. I am still trying to paint beautiful places, women and songs. How is this important? How is art Important in our world? Or even in Art History? I am an artist who haa painted Masterpiece, but like any other artist, I think about what I am supposed to paint. I look at the tree and think how green the tree is and what she really looked like, how beautiful she really was and how I would like to paint it. As I get older, I will pass on the baton that was handed to me by artists of the past into the future of art world. And I pray I will leave it behind someday.
