The painting is made in the technique of "impasto": relief painting with oil paints.
Sidewalls are painted in colour of common range.
No need to use a baguette.
Ready to hang.

The painting is made in the style of shabbi chic, using pastel shades with soft plaque of old.
In the painting I wanted to convey the feeling of a quiet light garden, where you feel calm, private and safe.

My name is Katerina Yakovleva and I´m working as a fulltime artist. Most of all, I am inspired by the color as it is, and its combination with other colors. This is probably my professional deformation, because every time I look for example at the sky, I try to spread it into shades: ultramarine, cobalt, cerruleum. A great source of inspiration is various textures, aged surfaces. I am crazy about the peeling paint on the fences, old doors, rusty handles, time-rubbed iron and wooden parts. I like how time ages objects, like to notice changes in various objects, the stages of their lives. When you still guess how this or that thing looked initially, but you already see something special in it, the appearance of new properties. This is amazing! Each of us is able to see beauty or something special, evaluate it from own angle. This is also the object of interest. All my life I strive to get away from grades and create as if no one sees me. This is an attempt to free myself from expectations in order to find something special inside and let it go out. And although this is a personal path, I am very glad that there are people whose hearts respond to what I do. My artworks found their home in private collections in Russia, United Kingdom, USA, Italy, Austria, Finland, Lithuania and Romania.
