ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The composition is developped under an arch, and from a base That could be a table , rise a feminine being , half human half arboreal. The work was inspired from a traumatic event of seeing my trees tortured..without logic reason, knowing that the open wound could lead to parasite attacks ...so i wanted to show to the viewer how i feel we're connected with nature i don't see much difference in an amputated body or a pollarded tree Her chest is wide open and internal anatomy visible, with flowers coming from inside representation of the beauty despite pain and humiliation ,she has her cranium outside ,all this open body situation is a metaphore of how we treat trees

i'm a female italian artist workin primarily with oil on canvas but also watercolor sometimes clay or anyway changing medium based on how i feel my imaginary world ,reflect decay , society’s fear , and sadness,  but , on the other side , i am  is seeking  beauty through colors ,  women bodies, light and balance ,in shapes ,weight and composition. Expression of this searching mood ,are these archetypical figures,  coming out from some Apocalypse:  new Kali-Yuga goddess with their torbid beauty , full of suffering and  visceral sensuality,  almost smiling at us in the balance between joy and sorrow,  the fear and the courage to live,  showing the weakness and his antidote :the strength,  representing Hope in the now  and showing the world as changeable with a tacit alliance between them (us) and the forces of nature In conceptual terms ,in every of my last painting there’s always something holy inside,  something powerful as intention to heal the momentum … a detail that defuse the heaviness of the image itself. my favorite medium is oil paint, but i use to paint also with acquerelle and ink and mixing techniques.
