Since the Renaissance, toner has been favored by Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo and other masters as a sketch performance tool. In the 19th century, toner painting developed rapidly in Europe and was widely used with the Impressionist color study. I often use chalk as a painting tool, which can easily change a lot of picture effects, like improvisational inspiration of poetry, which must be quickly captured in the moment, and the friction of fingers will create a soft feeling, like a ray of light or a vague memory. The combination of color powder and different paper will have different textures, like the surface of rough rock or like rubbing to create the distant years. The rich changes in artistic expression of this tool are fascinating, and it itself is more like having an independent life and consciousness, which often leads me into a very free and colorful world.
