Vira Ustianska is an Ukrainian artist. In 2024, Vira and her daughter Vasy evacuated from Ukraine to the United States. Now She lives in sunny San Diego and continues to paint. She earned her MFA from the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Fine Arts in 2015, where she studied under professor Chaus and professor Ganotskyi. Vira Ustianska became a member of Urkanian National Union of Artists when she was a student. She is the youngest artist in Zaporozhzhia branch of Ukrainian National Union of Artists. Vira Ustianska takes part in various exhibitions and plein airs. During ten years she has created over 1000 paintings. A lot of her artworks are in museums and in private collections in Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Taiwan, USA, Lithuania, China. The artist shows interest in various genres, such as still life, landscape, portrait, industrial landscape. Vira Ustianska paints from lnature because a photo can never render emotions that are needed to create a piece of art. As an artist Vira acts as an empathetic intermediary between the subject he portrays and the viewer.
