ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I have explored the concept of 'peeping,' symbolizing moments of a person's emotional deprivation and unsatiated desire from always wanting 'something else.' This series of paintings playfully explores desire as human nature rather than a taboo. faces and bodies of figures are drawn with a brush made of dry leaves and branches. Different heights irregularity of the brush made various shapes of dots and lines on Hanji(the paper). I made the shape of eyes by repeatedly tearing colored Hanji apart and gluing them randomly on paper.
