Gülname Eslek was born in 1974 in Trabzon, Turkey. She completed her primary and secondary education in Samsun and her high school education in the İnegöl district of Bursa. In 1992, she ranked first in the Department of Art Teaching, Technical Department of the Faculty of Education at Uludağ University in Bursa. She graduated in 1996. In the same year, she earned her master's degree from the Department of Visual and Environmental Arts at İstanbul Technical University. The artist worked for years in Tokat and Mardin, contributing to the wall decorations of various foundations. She got married in 1999 and has an 18-year-old son. Currently, she works as a teacher in the Çankaya district of Ankara. Having held three solo exhibitions so far, the artist has also participated in various group exhibitions both in Turkey and abroad. In 2019, she published a poetry book titled How to Describe the Moonlight to the Eyes That Do Not See in her own painting workshop in Çankaya, Ankara.
