ABOUT THE ARTWORK

For the work of this series I start laying a thin layer of oil painting on the paper (310gr). This first layer is very colorful and the colours are applied quite randomly. Later I lay on top of this another layer of paint, this one being very thick, spread by hands until covering completely the first layer.  In the end I quickly trace marks, scraping the upper paint with extemporary tools (e.g. a spoon, a knife...) until the bottom layer, absorbed by the paper, appears again. My aim is to reduce the act of painting to its bare elements, marks and colours, obtained through physical intervention, spreading and scraping colours by hands. The marks I trace are different but always simple and strong, fast made, without retouching. I like the fact that the colors that will appear in the background are unpredictable, depending on where I will scrape off the upper layer. This sort of lack of control adds an element of surprise for myself and makes each painting much more interesting. Experimenting through different techniques, finding new ways of producing works without being in full control, is the constant element of my artistic research, be it through a computer or playing around with thick oil paint. The paintings are signed with pencil on the back and a certificate of Authenticity is always included. The sold artworks are packed flat between two sheets of paper and cardboard as well. They are closed in a plastic envelope and protected with bubble packaging too.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

In my projects I explore the poetics of color abstract images and search for new ways of drawing, experimenting atypic and irregular uses of oil painting technique, digital tools and inkjet printing rules. The use of color as fundamental tool of expression and a playful transformative approach are the reference points in my research. Please visit my website for more works:
