I was born in 1961. I live in Poland. I am a graduate of the Faculty of Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. I graduated with honours in 1990. After graduation, I dealt with workshop graphics, I produce the cycles: “Requiem” and “Bitter Regrets”, my works were awarded at graphic competitions, including the International Print Triennial in Kraków, the Polish Print Triennial in Katowice, the International Print Triennial, the Copper Engraving Center in Lubin and the International Art Triennial at Majdanek. The years 1991–1997 are the period of cooperation with the "Lisse Bruun" gallery in Copenhagen. At that time, I produce the series of paintings: “Ecological letters”, “Objects”, “Remembered landscapes”. In the years 1992-1997, I was a member of the International Art Salon in Tokyo. Since 1998 I have been working at the Institute of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences in Cieszyn Śląski in Katowice In 2005 I finalized my habilitation thesis, the subject of which was there were series of graphics entitled: “Tracers”, “Przestrzenie” and “Light”. In the years 2000-2019, I dealt with digital graphics. I have exhibited my works in galleries in Japan, Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and the United States. I have shown my paintings at dozens of individual exhibitions. In the years 2020-2021, I completed a painting series entitled “The Sanctuary of Nature”, presented at the Polish Institute in Manchester. Since 2022, I have been implementing a series entitled “Illustrations for the Book of Mountains”. My painting can be classified as informel abstraction. Allusions to the motifs of mountain landscapes and rocks are visible in my works. I am inspired by climbing, hiking in the mountains has been my passion since my early youth. In my work. Artistic credo Coming to the right artistic decisions is an area where creative intuition meets rational analysis of form. This dualism is the basis of all creation. Cognitive and rational thought, an internal imperative, faith, hope, and passion are needed. I think that it is not indifferent what the imagination is fed with, how the mind and creative spirit mature. This is the first link; “Garden for Imagination”. This “garden” is an area of interest, contact with the subject of knowledge, inquisitiveness, and stubbornness in finding the truth.
