By nature I cannot stay enclosed within four walls for too long, and I thrive in open space. In an ideal world, I would live in a vast and sparse environment, free of clutter. Working with a modified professional digital camera sensitive to infrared wavelength, Dusk Dialogue at 40.582N, 73.818W explores the division between an expansive ocean and a boundless sky, well beyond the human visible spectrum. The images were captured over several months, consistently shot from the same location at dusk. This minimalist approach, with a flat horizon line in the center of the image, creates a dimension of mathematical satisfaction in addition to fulfilling my quest for unambiguous simplicity. Through the exacting self-imposed parameters of this project, the work is an exploration of self and the subtle changes one inevitably undergoes as time unfolds. Limited edition of 20. Artwork is signed, numbered, and includes a certificate of authenticity. The work is professionally printed on Hahnemuhle 310 gsm fine art paper, with white border for framing.
