1ST WORLD WAR MONUMENT IN MAPUTO, MOZAMBIQUE, SOUTHERN AFRICA Informal known to local people as "LADY SNAKE" This monument stands in Maputo, Mozambique. It was created by the sculptor Ruy Roque Gameiro in cooperation with the architect Veloso Kings. It's a tribute to the Portuguese and Mozambicans who fell in the First World War. The Monument was erected in 1935.
