#251, untitled, 2017 is a piece from the OSTER+KOEZLE's second series 'perspectives', which they developed from 2014 on - and which is followed up to date. This series is one of the most playful ones - but at the same time one of the most minimalist. The simpler the artistic intervention is, the more astonishing is its effect on the perception of possible perspectives. By choosing the right crop and adding just one sand colored pane, perspective 'twists' are created in an Escherian sense. Although the pasting is the only modification in the photograph, this image of an architectural detail in Saatchi Gallery Londin 'turns' into a conundrum - you just have to look at it long enough... #251 is supplied as a pigment print on ultra smooth matte photo cardboard of roughly 300 gsm, printed by the artists themselves. Framing behind glass is recommended though not obligatory, as this piece is on a sheet of DIN A 3 (29,7x42cm/11.7x16.5''). The shown framing and passepartout is just a suggestion and NOT included in this offer. It has, for your information, the size of 50x40 cm, e.g. 19.7x15.7''.

SG Koezle and Willy Oster, a photographer and a painter, form the artist duo OSTER+KOEZLE since 1999. Since then their works are always about the topics of space and thus architecture, manifested in seven work series, all of which continue to this day. Their works are characterized by digitally altered photographs of rooms and achitectural elements, that make it nearly impossible to match the seen with the known and the viewer's experience.
