Here we are standing amid the Victorian splendour, at Waterloo Station. What’s so special here is that being able to find a main line, Inter City Station deserted, is quite an achievement. It happens so rarely that when it does, it almost seems eerily quiet, and almost supernatural. The lion sleeps tonight, in the city jungle indeed.
