In his early twenties, Wolfgang Lehmann started writing film critiques and began working for the film club at the municipal cinema in Freiburg, a position he held until 2005. Since 1994 Wolfgang Lehmann has realized and produced his own films and has received invitations for showings at festivals and museums in Europe, Japan, People's Republic of China inclusive Hong Kong, South Korea, India, Bangladesh, Israel, Canada, USA, Argentina, Brazilian, Peru, Ecuador, Columbian, and New Zealand. Retrospectives were shown in Berlin, Frankfurt/Main, Granada, and Cagliari (Sardinia). After living for a brief period in Berlin, Wolfgang Lehmann has resided in Stockholm, Sweden with his wife and his two children since 2006.
