Moldova
Iryna Calinicenco (Cairyna) was born and studied in Ukraine. But for 12 years he has been living and working in Moldova. Iryna works at the intersection of Mixed Media and New Media techniques - by combining drawing, photography, collage and exposure to chemicals on the drawing. Plus the final digital manipulation. In Iryna's work over the years you can notice an increasing bias toward realism, an emphasis on semi-figurative images. She pays more attention to form, the human body, the face, with less and less emphasis on colour. Depicts distortion, as she does not believe in straightness and flatness of all things. Combines photography, drawing, digital manipulation to enhance structure and detail previously unnoticed by anyone. It shows the difference between reality and its understanding of the image of reality. Truth is purely subjective. Sometimes art is attractive only after it is fully clarified and described from the author's point of view. But Iryna believes that art itself should thrill and arouse emotions, and the explanation will only help deepen your understanding of the formation of a work of art, but not to impose an opinion on the viewer. Get into the game and fantasize together with Cairyna!
