This is a series of Polaroid transfer and it is part of a study on the Caravaggio painting. Polaroid transfer is a unique technique which consist in the transfer of the emulsion directly on a cotton paper support a few seconds after shot. Pietro Lucerni nasce a Milano il 16 aprile 1973.Nel 1991 si diploma in fotografia allIstituto Superiore di Comunicazioni Visive di Milano.Nel 1995 parte per gli Stati Uniti al seguito di una produzione pubblicitaria. in questa occasione che inizia concretamente la sua carriera di fotografo: lavora infatti tra New York e Miami come fotografo di moda. Ma soprattutto in questo periodo che inizia un percorso personale nellambito della fotografia di nudo e muove i primi passi nella sperimentazione con i materiali Polaroid, che contraddistinguono la sua particolare tecnica.Nel 1998 torna a Milano dove apre il suo primo studio e avvia alcune collaborazioni con riviste di moda e agenzie pubblicitarie, senza trascurare la sua personale ricerca, sperimentando anche altri soggetti da ritrarre e concentrandosi soprattutto sui paesaggi. Pietro Lucerni was born in 1973, in Milan. He studied Photography at the National Institute of Visual Arts in Milan from 1989 to 1993. In the 1994 through 3 years, he attended Cinematography at Experimental Film Academy in Rome. Deeply interested in photography, he moved in 1996 to the United States to learn more about photography and began extensive work as a fashion photographer. From the 1997 he works as photographer in Europe and US. In the same time he teaches photography and visual arts at the European Institute of Design ( IED ). His work is about fashion, portraits, beauty, landscape, architecture and fine art, but there is a common visual line between all his work. Over the years, he established a particular style marked by Polaroid Transfer but he likes to experiment different kind of media, approach and techniques as well as digital and film and he usually prints his fine art and black & white pictures by himself . He is actually working between Milan and New York for commissioned and personal work.
