This artwork is named Alive and is from the series "Dreams Of Beauty". This series is about the cycle of Life, where the themes of Time and Death merge indistinctly. The protagonist represents the human essence through a double perspective, rendering both the micro-cycle of sleep/wake/intention/corruption/regression/sleep/dream and that of birth/primal energy/discovery/corruption/regression/death/non-physical. Human ambition and desire, recklessly predominant in the earliest years of our life lead to curious wandering. In this series, I wanted to explore the dimension of human corruption. The character lives fully but then gets lost in pondering, questioning values, seeking the dark unknown. The end of the cycle is represented by Death and a non-physical existence.

My name is Fabio, and I’m an English teacher based in Italy. I have been in love with photography since I was a child. Today, it has become my greatest passion: I see it as something that lies on the threshold between the physical world and the emotions and feelings it is able to generate in us; something that has the power to transform a memory, a non-physical entity, into an actual object. I find it a magical process, a precious ritual.
