Commentary

The amazons were female warriors of a mythical people, who lived on the southern coast of the Black Sea and already known in the oldest Greek legends. Here it is portrayed the beautiful Amazon of the Capitoline Museums in Rome, inspired by the original Policleto's.

Platinotype

The characteristics of platinotype make it one of the best printing processes for the richness of tone and for its stability. Patented in London in 1873, it quickly spread in the photo print art due to its unique features. It is a completely manual technique and each copy can be considered an original.
