Ao Longo do Mar Photograph - Limited Edition of 5

João Costa is an artist, film photographer and music composer from the South of Portugal, where he actually lives by the sea. His current work is a kind of poetic exploration of the ocean as life, with the waves, the tides, the sun, the moon, the atmosphere, and the sea state and seasons, where the freedom, spirituality, and solitude of the human being in this giant blue universe, is represented by surfers who made their own path from somewhere until reaching the ocean, until reaching the essence of life itself! In this creative and metaphorical work, I try to explore notions of memory, imagination and reality, stillness and movement, as living things in every one of us. And so, I try to transform those feelings into photographic artworks, and music as stories. _
