#575, untitled, 2022 is a piece from the series 'architectures', which the artists continually evolve since 2014. It is taken from the 'SuBMV Suite', a tribute to the newly opened Schloss- und Beschläge Museum Velbert, located in Koezle's home town. It is the sister to #576 (see this on Saatchi Art too) In 'architectures' photographic images of rooms or room details are manipulated by the help of an artificial, black or colored pane/mask. The parts of the room that remain visible appear like independent, newly formulated architectural elements in front of it. What looks like graphics from a distance turns out to be real photography when viewed up close, due to the recognizability of the surface structures. All of O+K's pictures are in one piece, never cut apart nor collaged. Walls, edges, corners, ceiling and so forth stay at the places, where they are found in the basic RAW file. #575 is supplied as a pigment print on high-matte museum cardboard of 300 g/sqm, self-printed by the artists. Signature, numbering and date are on the frontside under the picture. Passepartout and framing as shown are recommanded examples and not part of the delivery.

SG Koezle and Willy Oster, a photographer and a painter, form the artist duo OSTER+KOEZLE since 1999. Since then their works are always about the topics of space and thus architecture, manifested in seven work series, all of which continue to this day. Their works are characterized by digitally altered photographs of rooms and achitectural elements, that make it nearly impossible to match the seen with the known and the viewer's experience.
