Jim McKinniss is an artist who uses photography. His primary tools are a camera and Photoshop.He make photos of those things that interest him so his work spans a wide range of subjects including portraiture, still life and travel. McKinniss travels internationally on a frequent basis. His work has been shown in galleries in North Carolina, California, New Jersey, Texas, Vermont and Massachusetts. His work has been published in the books "Photos that Inspire", "Reflections of Venice", "Mannequins" and "Venice in Monochrome". He has also had work published in The Huffington Post, the on-line publication FLASH, the photographic newsletter Your Daily Photograph and the cover photo for Popular Photography. His work has also been published in at least one issue of Black and White Magazine each year between 2010 and 2019. STATEMENT: I don't like artist statements so let it suffice to say that I am attracted to unusual or interesting things, animals, places and people. I make photos those things and sometimes I just make photos to learn what things look like when photographed.
