PRINT DESCRIPTION ------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Banyan Waterfall" I captured this image on the island of Oahu near Waikiki Beach. These trees are spectacular for displaying their growth. I turned and was struck by the full scale of this magnificent specimen. The lighting captured all the intricate details. I converted the image to black and white and then experimented with tinting to get the coloration that I felt best revealed the shades. I also liked the puddling affect and was careful to include it. This anchored all the flow of lines streaming down like a waterfall frozen in time. And timeless is a good way to describe the majesty of this botanical wonder. PRINT DETAILS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Limited to an edition of 35 regardless of size. This means I will produce only 35 original signed prints of this image regardless of size. This print will be signed & numbered on a 3/4” border and will include a Certificate of Authenticity. The image will be printed using archival inks and Hahnemuhle Papers Photo Rag Fine Art Paper. This paper is 308gsm, Smooth Matte Finish, 100% Cotton Paper, Archival Quality, Acid Free. Please note that the estimated production time (delivery time not included) is 10-15 working days as this limited edition artwork is made to order.

Brandon LeValley (1954) is a photographic artist from the United States. In 1976 he graduated from Washington State University where his Bachelor’s Degree included Art studies. He’s always had a passion for photography. That desire was fueled early in life when he was still shooting film and utilizing a darkroom to process images. Holding a final print offered a world of experience seeing how the light on a subject materialized. Years later he realized the digital camera had revolutionized processing. Today, he converts most images to black and white and often shoots botanicals for their dramatic lines and shape. He’s also drawn to architecture and landscapes. Living near Joshua Tree National Park provides many dramatic configurations that come from his explorations. While his journey in photography has evolved, it’s often ignited by striking lighting. He’s fascinated by the abstract and uses every tool to achieve a finished composition. A unique image, he believes, comes about by a disciplined and oftentimes exhaustive approach. Knowing the payoff can be rewarding, that commitment to detail ultimately renders a more compelling work.
