ART DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------- Fine art photography 2017 This artwork is from the series "Allegories of life, lessons of nature". A fantastic and imaginary world where animals, common objects and nature meet in surreal atmospheres. “Allegories of life, lessons of nature” is a series of photos with allegorical and metaphorical meanings about life. The images come to life from my everyday life experiences: living in the countryside, surrounded by 15 dogs, chickens, horses and all kinds of farm animals, fruit and olive trees and plantations are an inexhaustible source of ideas and inspiration for my work. I love to dress common objects with symbolic meanings so they almost take life completely integrated in the narrative plot. In many of these surreal pictures you can also see my sensitivity to the defense of animals and my love and commitment to the preservation of nature. ART AWARD ----------------------------------------------------- This series has been awarded an Honorable Mention in the "Fine Art - Collage" Non Professional category of Prix de la Photographie Paris 2017 PRINT DETAILS ----------------------------------------------------- Limited to an edition of 20 regardless of size. This means that that I will produce only 20 original signed prints of this image regardless of size. Print size: 50x50 cm, paper size: 54x54cm. Signed and numbered on the back of the image. Comes with signed & numbered Certificate of Authenticity. The print is a Giclée on Hahnemühle Museum Etching 350gsm paper, a natural white cotton art paper with an inkjet coating specially optimised for FineArt printing. ------------------------------------------------ Alessandra Favetto is a self-portrait fine art photographer and visual artist, born in Italy in 1968, working and living in Spain, Sevilla, since 2005. Artistically she started her journey in fine art photography in 2013 when she discovered her passion for self-portrait, image manipulation and digital art. She is best known for her extensive work in self-portraits and for her surreal photo montages. Her style is true, passionate and very emotional. In her images there are always concepts and meanings that go far behind what a viewer can see, leaving a door open for a subjective interpretation. Her works and techniques spread in different directions, from color to black and white, from surrealism to digital art, remarking the author's hunger for knowledge and experimentation although always keeping a unique and identifiable artistic style. She has recevied international recognition with her work shown in different publications and book covers as well as being awarded in different competitions including the International Photography Awards, Prix De La Photographie Paris and Paratissima Art Fair.
