This collection looks at beauty ideals and the aging process. The story is about a rose from my garden, which was stunning. The blossom resonated with elegance as it aged, and I found myself enamored with how graceful and beautiful this flower had become. The subject of this work is really about taking a moment to disengage from the snap judgments of our predefined preprogrammed stereotypes and allow ourselves time to recalibrate. It's about giving ourselves the opportunity to see within the overlooked and the discarded, and redefine our esthetic.
