About The Artwork
This is the interior view of a small greenhouse, I discovered in Brooklyn, New York. The incoming sunlight made the tainted glasswork shine like a lantern. I was lying on the ground looking up, and watching through a wide angle lens I experienced the greenhouse like being in a translucent cathedral. I particularly loved all the details: the coloured squares and rectangles, being mixed with plant elements and shadows. Architectural design by Tom Fruin. This is a limited edition pigment print on Ilford Pearl photographic paper. It is shipped in a tube and still needs to be framed. It is handsigned and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Please note: the Image size is 45 x 45 cm / paper size is 59,4 x 61 cm (23.4 x 24 inches). Paul Brouns (1967) is a photographing artist based in The Netherlands. In 1990 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tilburg specialising in photography, painting and drawing. Since the development of digital photography his camera and computer have become his main tools for creation. Observing the urban world, he is attracted by the abstract, rhythmic poetry of buildings. Available in limited editions, his work has been exhibited worldwide and sold to collectors, ranging from Tokyo, Seoul and New Delhi, to New York, London and Amsterdam. In 2022 his work is being exhibited at Palazzo Bembo in Venice during the Art Biennale. Through his photographic compositions the artist successfully inspires and touches people’s souls.
