ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The picture was taken in Central Park in New York in 2015 on film, using a medium-format camera. Printed in the cyanotype technique with subsequent toning, in 2021 on Fabriano paper, paper size 10*10 inches. Cyanotype is a silverless photographic process that produces a bluish image when printed. Using various experiments, you can change the color and tone of the photo.

My work is inspired by my love of pictorial photography. When shooting, I often use a soft-drawing lens (monocle). Photo printing is a search for opportunities to create a photo image that looks like a drawing, graphics... where there is light, air, contrast, color experiments. I am engaged in analog photo-processes - cyanotype, gum bichromate, lit-printing, printing on cotton paper with the application of photo emulsion. Each photo, taken in this technique, is unique. It is impossible to make two absolutely similar images.
