I got my first camera when I was 13 years old, and since then, it has become an extension of myself. I started early in directing my photos, with family and friends as models. As a photographer, I still often direct my images, but I also enjoy working more intuitively. It is precisely the balance between planning and spontaneity that defines my personal expression. Although the photos may seem like random snapshots, there is always direction in waiting for everything to align. It is this process that fascinates me—a hunting instinct where I wait for something magical to happen and ask myself if what I have anticipated will truly come to pass. People are both complex and predictable at the same time; we follow our own patterns, and it is this that makes capturing those moments so exciting. My artistic expression is grounded in a formal understanding of composition, light, and design. However, my true passion lies in exploring the emotional narrative embedded in each image. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of capturing fleeting moments that allow others to see the world through my eyes—both through personal experiences and through the lens of larger social and environmental issues. At the core of my photographic work is the exploration of the relationship between people and their surroundings. Whether I capture the quiet beauty of a shared moment between people or highlight the fragile beauty of nature—often inspired by national romanticism—I aim to draw attention to the often-overlooked details in our everyday lives. In a time where the focus is often on the negative, my work serves as a reminder of the humorous, beautiful, subtle, and fleeting moments in life, and the beauty we must preserve—both in ourselves and in the world around us. My works have been exhibited in Oslo, London, and New York, and have been sold to both private and corporate collections.
