ABOUT THE ARTWORK
When I saw the result of a few hours of photography, I immediately thought about Fontana's work: Concetto Spaziale (spatial concept). In these works by Fontana, a line cuts a canvas in half. A statement! The hard line in my photo work is softened by the subtle shadow. Technical details: C-Print mounted on dibond with (protective) acrylic glass. With aluminum frame at the back (can be hung directly on your wall). Size 27.6 x 27.6 inches

Kees Schouten, 1961, Netherlands. I graduated ArtSchool in 1984 as a painter and printmaker. I was awarded by The Dutch Art Society in 1987 (for painting). First showed photoworks in 1995. From 2010 to 2017 i only made photoworks, still lifes. In 2017 i started to make collages and prints again after quite a few years. In 2022 i had a large studio built in the corner of my garden. Since then i am painting again. I am Teaching Photography at Graphic Design College, Utrecht (NL).
