"Cybernetic Divinity" Photograph - Limited Edition of 25

I was born and raised in Vancouver, WA, and spent much of my adult life in Seattle before recently making the move to Bend, Oregon. My career has been centered around project management, business consulting, and as a published children's book author. However, my artistic path began unexpectedly in 2020, taking me in a direction I never anticipated. With no formal training or background in art, I never imagined myself as a creator. In fact, I would often joke with my kids that I couldn’t even draw a stick figure. Yet, one day, I felt an overwhelming urge to visit a craft store. My husband, in disbelief, asked if I was feeling well. Little did he know, this moment would mark the beginning of my creative exploration, one I’ve never looked back from. Since then, I’ve been captivated by the process of painting and drawing, driven by an inner force I’m still trying to understand. The Hidden Realms of My Art: My artwork invites you on a journey into the extraordinary, a world that lies just beyond the surface. Each piece is a universe in itself, guided by instinct and emotion rather than a preconceived plan. I don’t approach the canvas with a clear vision, but instead, I let my hand move freely, following a natural flow. It’s as though the images are already waiting to be uncovered. What makes my art truly unique is how it transforms when mirrored. As you look at each piece from different angles, new stories emerge—figures like kings, queens, soldiers, and mythical creatures, alongside symbols of nature’s chaos, music, and love. These layers offer an ever-evolving narrative that becomes personal to every viewer, inviting them to discover their own interpretations. At the heart of my creative process is a deep connection to the subconscious, almost as if I’m not creating but witnessing a hidden world come to life. My work reflects more than just color and form; it is an experience, a story of life, love, conflict, and transformation. This organic approach is rooted in Abstract Expressionism, with elements of biomorphism—the depiction of abstract organic forms that mirror the hidden patterns of life itself. My work also draws inspiration from the natural world, evoking the delicate flow of water, the intensity of volcanic eruptions, and the energy of the earth’s shifting forces. Through these contrasts, I aim to create a sense of meditative mystery, challenging the viewer to uncover the hidden narratives beneath the surface.
