Dolomites View, 2/5 Limited Edition Fine Art Print Photograph

The South Tyrol Antholzer Valley with a view over the Dolomites touches me by its silence. You can relax, especially in the high-altitude part where there is only one mountain hut, the Rieserfernerhütte. Just above the hut is a ridge with a particularly impressive view of the Dolomites, but that is not the only thing that remains. Behind the hut is a chapel. You'll find several used climbing shoes. On the small altar are candles and a cross. Next to it images of Jesus, Mary and on a bulletin board almost twenty mourning cards with photos of cheerful sportive men and women. The visit to the chapel makes me look at the view differently. The mountains provide so many beautiful moments, but they also have their dark side. The shadow makes you realize that the light is not self-evident. The silence is. Only silence belongs here.
