Dalì inspired me for this artwork. The soft forms of this reflections made me think of Dali's works. Like the other works in this series, I photographed a reflection of the Adda which was very expressive. No changes on the photo, only optimization of contrast, brightness and saturation. I'm born in Fribourg and I lived in Switzerland until I'm 28 years old. After, I moved in Milano where I worked as graphic designer. Actually I life and work between Milano and Bergamo, in Canonica d'Adda. In recent years, photography has occupied a big space in my artistic work. Particularly, I am carrying out a research which interprets photographic images as if they were pictorial works. I don't consider myself as a photographer, maybe as a digital artist. I take advantage of photography for my artistic purposes, I like the idea of bending technique to my aspirations. I don't want to be addicted to the instrument, but rather use it to extract a pictorial soul of its own from the technique. These experiments have started from a prize I got with a shot in the "Fotografare l'Adda" competition, in 2009. I won the first prize with an image that was unusual in that context of naturalistic photos. I was surprised, I didn't expect it. So wanting to improve that result, I started taking pictures of the Adda again, but it was inevitable that photography would become too strict for me. The reflections of the river made me understand that a photographic shot could look like a painting. It was a revelation: the reflections expressed themselves like painters! It was not easy to claim this with convincing photos though. Then one day came the shot "Movimento Quadrato", a progenitor who opened the way to many attempts, almost all wrong! But by that time the road was marked, it was just necessary to collect the few best rewards and proceed further. I am a professional graphic designer, specialized and award-winning in the corporate brand and packaging design. My projects in brand and packaging deisng are rewarded with prestigious primes in "Mediastar" Competion in Milano. I've had a passion for visual arts since I was a child. I've always been drawing, I paint less and less and shoot as soon as I can.
