ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Being inspired by action paintings of abstract expressionists I moved on to creating non-figurative images, with its emphasis on spontaneous, automatic, or subconscious creation, where not only the result was important, but the process itself. My scene was yards, fields, meadows and flowers from different counties. I painted the camera matrix – as if it was my canvas, using circular motion to refer to the concept of our beautiful planet. Great look for a modern space. For this series' prints my strong recommendation is to have frameless prints mounted under acrylic glass. 60 x 90 cm | Edition of 10 | 90 x 125 cm | Edition of 5|

I am a self-taught photographer based in St. Petersburg, Russia. I graduated as an economist, but later took design, art history, contemporary photography courses at Saint Petersburg State Hermitage Museum, at FotoDepartament, and some others, and finally photography turned out to be a full-time occupation. / Introversion, silence and hovering over the moment are the key elements of my photography. I feel a special kinship to a “hidden” motive, when someone takes more observant look in an effort to unveil the unseen.
