Cristina Wood: Dance and Photography in Harmony Cristina Wood is a dance performer and photographer whose artistic career and training have achieved a perfect fusion of these two disciplines. Trained in prestigious institutions such as the Municipal of Santiago and the Faculty of Arts of the University of Chile, Cristina perfected her technique at the School of Photo Art of Chile, embarking on a unique path where the worlds of dance and photography intertwine. Training and First Steps Cristina's artistic journey began with a deep immersion in dance. At the Municipal de Santiago, one of the most prestigious institutions in Chile, he received rigorous training that allowed him to develop not only his technique, but also a deep understanding of body expression and narrative through movement. This knowledge was enriched by his time at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Chile, where he studied the theories and practices underlying the performing arts. Cristina's transition to photography was a natural evolution of her love of dance. At the Chilean School of Photo Art, he found a new way to capture and communicate the beauty and emotion of movement. At first, his photographic work focused primarily on dance, using his inside knowledge of movement and expression to capture images that not only documented the action, but also conveyed the intensity and emotion of the performances.
