Kenneth Hope was born in Hereford, U.K. Having attended the local boys' school and after a short tenure at Hereford School of Art Kenneth moved to London in order to pursue a career in photography. He quickly established himself as a photographer in the area of editorial and advertising and in 1974 moved to Amsterdam, where he collaborated with the internationally renowned magazine Avenue. Since then his work has been published in many leading European journals including Vogue, Esquire, Dépêche Mode, Elle and The Mail on Sunday. From 1989 until 1991, Kenneth was a guest lecturer in visual communication and photography at the Royal Academy for Fine Arts in The Hague, The Netherlands. In the early 90's he began to direct television commercials and music videos and later established his own production company L'Avventura Film. In 2001 his feature film "˜Superstition' premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. Despite this commercial success he has always worked on projects of a more personal nature.
