In the series “Faceless”, there is always the enigma of the “Persona” that embodies the nude figure. In this image Yuri uses the Veil as the element to conceal not only the identity of his model, but also to depict a partial nudity. The woman shows a firm stand against the wind that plays with the veil. The atmosphere in some of his images is somehow familiar, just to give a sense of intimacy, but nothing specific about the space in which the expression takes place. This specific image was awarded “Bronze” in the PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris 2015 Fine Art/Nude category. Printed in Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper 100% cotton, (image dimensions 95x63 cms, with borders of 5cms). Signed and numbered in the bottom border. Certification of authenticity included.

Feminine nude has been a taboo since my childhood, probably due to the times and society in which I was raised. The "nude" was an unknown and censored horizon. Now, I can get close to that enigma, in a way that I can admire and acknowledge the wonders of a woman's body, and capture its essence in light and shadow. These images pay homage to a concept that was once a secret. I show the figure with confidence and strength in different circumstances, in atmospheres that are away from the every day life, in attitudes in which the presence of the camera is irrelevant. I portray the beauty of the body in an elegant style, sensually, and definitely sculptural, but, I keep the anonymity of my models as part of the attraction and mystery that surrounds the feminine physique.
