Photography for me is about creating atmospheric narratives. The subjects I photograph are all about the story that doesn't always have an ending. My work has been shown throughout the United States and published both here and abroad. In 2007 I started the Dean Street Project along with a few other artists. It was a short-term gallery space in downtown Brooklyn that was intended as a space to share (and sell) our work which included photography, collage, film(documentary) and sculpture. The Dean Street Project was well received and delivered many great lessons on the process of the art world. In 2008 my family and I moved to Austin, Texas from New York to get back to a lifestyle that is closer to nature. Since returning to my native Texas I have been focusing less on editorial and more on fine art photography, plus I have been painting in both oils and acrylics. In my free time I spend as much with my wife and son and have also been working with an organization called Art From the Streets. It is a non-profit that encourages and nurtures artists who are homeless or formerly homeless to make and sell their artwork. I am currently overseeing the development of a website to sell the work by AFTS artists so that they can benefit from their talents, through sales, throughout the year.
