The original building in this composition is the Maciachini Center in Milan, Italy. It is an office complex that has a very engaging rhythm and colorful intensity. Looking up onto one of the façades I particularly loved the different sections of multicolored window screens that were open and closed. By repeating this façade four times an atrium is created that in which the asymmetrical division becomes more balanced. The title refers to two associations I had with the resulting work: with the geometrical puzzle object known as Rubik’s cube and the futuristic and visually haunting worlds created by movie director Stanley Kubrick. This is a ready to hang artwork. It is a photographic print on high quality paper behind plexiglass (Diasec) in museum quality finish. The plexiglass provides remarkable depth and brilliance to the art work. For extra stability it has an aluminum Dibond backpanel and a hidden wall mount frame. Small size limited edition of 8, personally signed and certified. Other sizes available: Large: 120 x 120 cm / 47 x 47 inches (print behind plexiglass) Medium: 70 x 70 cm / 27 x 27 inches (print behind plexiglass) Please contact Saatchi Art if your desired option is not featured on the website yet.
