Art Description

Photography: Acrylic, Neon, Vector, Robotics, Digital on Aluminium, Glass, Other, Plastic.

More Images of the work can be seen on axel james rockfish website under New Releases or Asian Metropolis. Won top 50 Finalist Award among 1000 authors.
These are two original photographs - sold AS A PAIR - on professional photographic paper mounted on aluminim dibond and under a 2mm acryllic glas. Ready to hang, brand new. (Shipping within Europe can be quite cheap at approx. 50 euro tbc, pick up in Munich, Germany at a gallery is possible).
The real piece looks stunning, shiny under acryllic surface and much sharper than on the web images (despite the intentional blurr, lighting effect).
The two works are two single shots (no photoshop composition but a photographic one). They are a duett but can be purchased separately. They have been exhibited at art fairs and galleries in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Hamburg and are part of a series which was awarded as the Finalist selection of almost 1000 authors worldwide in the Barcelona International Photo Award 2015. A limited edition in 30x45cm has also been made.
The photographer as of 2016 is just beginning to release works on Saatchi Art but has successfully sold many pieces e.g. at Art Karlsruhe, Affordable Art Fair, galleries and more.
STORY:
As a first time visitor, raised in Europe and Latin America, arriving in Asian metropolis felt like never arriving but instead being overwhelmed, even intimidated but in time fascinated by the contrast this city throws at me. After a few days hiding and then returning I tried to capture some interpretation of this ever changing city. Sometimes static, sometimes like the speed of light.
The series Asian Metropolis has many more works and Axel kept expanding his abstract technique with transforming lighting to many more themes but also aiming to capture a city's, subject or theme's essense through the lens.
