I took a picture while enjoying Botanical Gardens of Penang, Malaysia. Ghost trees surrounded by tropical jungle, an almost surreal scenery. I was inspired by the freshness of the jungle in the morning, coolness and bright light.
(Ghost Trees is their real name at the Botanical Gardens of Penang.)

It is a photograph, but I also hand painted over it a little bit with acrylic paint in an almost unperceivable way, but it makes the artwork more complex, powerful, original and unique.

120 x 160 cm, digitally altered photograph on textured pvc, hand painted over with acrylic paint, edition of 12, 2017

The photograph is also published in the book: TJASA IRIS, 8 WINTERS IN SOUTH EAST ASIA, A EUROPEAN UNDER THE TROPICS, PHOTOGRAPHS 2009 - 2017, available at Amazon.

The photograph is sold unframed, but can be framed at additional cost.
