ABOUT THE ARTWORK
These are the work horses of Turkey. They are called "yilki" meaning "deserted. once they come to the end of their useful life they get deserted in the mountains during a harsh winter to die from elements or eaten by hungry wolves. Charismatic Ali Dayi on the image came to the rescue and rescued about 200 of them. It is a major spectacle to see him and his sheep dogs herding them in the valleys. Speckles of rising dust, creates the most magical golden dust, Hoof beats, dust and heat mixes together to create magic.
