About The Artwork
Study of the interactions between the ocean and the people around it, such as the touristic and fishing business in Elounda Harbour, Crete (Greece). This man is a strong and wise old Seadog, who has experienced many things in his lifetime. The depth of his experiences are shown through the decision to use monochrome for this photograph. The slight happy twitch on his face is from asking him if I could photograph him, making him the talk of the town.
