ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Drawing from science based photography, I have been developing my own method of high speed image capture. The works demonstrate the transitional state of change during an object's destruction. Moments that can be seen but happen too fast to process. There is a particular poignancy in witnessing dematerialization and allowing yourself time to process. Happy Pills represents a positive outlook on taking medication, and the transitional experience of going from suffering to learning how to live life with mental illness.
