ABOUT THE ARTWORK

It was just low tide when we were on the Danish island Röm the clouds were reflected in the water pool. Just a single pair of seemed to shine on the way to Sylt before the flood started again. I took the picture with my Nikon D800 and this picture consists of two single pictures, in my work I usually take up the sky especially for one scene. This method allows me to better capture and control the size I felt in each place. the image has a size of 39.3 x 33.8 inches After order receipt, the picture is developed by hand. Delivery time 2 weeks. This original artwork comes in limited edition of 30 prints with signed & numbered Certificate of Authenticity with my signature at the back of the picture.

Born in Munich in 1973, photo artist Jürgen Heckelmann combines technical precision with artistic sensitivity. Alongside his craftsmanship training in aircraft construction, he has been deeply passionate about analog and digital photography since 1993—a passion he perfected through academic studies in image editing, layout, and illustration. Over the years, his artistic focus has evolved from the powerful aesthetics of architecture and nature to a visual language that blends timeless elegance with emotional depth. Today, his work centers on black-and-white photography, where the reduction to monochrome creates a unique atmosphere and intensity. Only occasionally does he produce color photographs, using them deliberately as a counterpoint to his monochrome style. Jürgen Heckelmann finds inspiration both in his homeland and on journeys around the world. With his camera, he explores the rugged landscapes of the North, vibrant metropolises, or seemingly insignificant details—always with a keen eye for light and shadow, symmetry, and the extraordinary moment. Jürgen Heckelmann lives and works in Munich, offering limited and open editions of his photography, designed to enrich spaces with stories and emotions.
