ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I typically begin with a photograph and incorporate techniques from photography, painting, drawing and collage to extensively layer my compositions.Using mobile applications as my medium, I explore our inherent complexities through juxtaposed imagery that may seem as random as a memory that lingers. Only remnants of additional images are exposed suggesting those subliminal imprints, and how they resurface unexpectedly. This is a limited edition of 10. Archival pigment print permanently mounted under acrylic glass with a dibond backing. Rails are mounted to the back for hanging.

McMurry was honored to show in Abstractions of the Ordinary at VannKossens Gallery, NY, NY, and the iPhone Imagery show at the Photo Place Gallery, Middlebury, VT. She was a finalist in the 10th Edition of the Julia Margaret Cameron Awards, the 2017 Moscow International Foto Awards, and received two first place prizes in the Mobile Photo Awards. Bobbi holds a BFA from Arizona State University and is represented in Arizona by Costello Childs Gallery.
