There is a supernatural feeling that I sense in certain places in nature when I experience my body dissolving into the smallest molecules and mix with something much greater. Therefore my perception of nature is that there is something more to it, more than we can see. The series “Connection” issues the broken spiritual connection between us, the modern human beings and nature which I believe can be one of the causes for many mental illnesses, but my brother was diagnosed with Bi Polar 1 three years ago which has without a doubt affected my work on some level. This ongoing project is therefore an experiment to see if it is possible to re-connect to Earth and its healing energy. The feeling of freedom with no limitation, and the infinite possibilities of our natural born creativity. Capturing and editing was done in Iceland. During the creative process I give my models time to “feel” and connect deeply to the energy of the place and then express their experience with free body movement in the area. The outcome for me is always something quite unexpected.
