About The Artwork

Opus "Water People" is a cycle of contemporary art photography through creative and experimental work with a lot of freedom of artistic expression in which the interplay of form and color creating a space of "Waterworld". Doc. mr. art Marija Čolpa: "New discovered transcendental direction is forming a new definition in the history of art, which cancels the existing art and photo established norms, just in the same way in which the tones of Water people stick to the surface of the real and the surreal, and seamlessly switch to another range, shade and tone of water surface, of deep blue or pure emotion of artistic expression.” Worldwide promotion of this cycle and a series of exhibitions "Water People" began at the National Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 22 November 2016. Continuation is planned for July 2017 in Saint Etienn in France and in Lisbon, Portugal and Turkey.

- Eminent freelance artist Status and title honored by the Ministry of Culture and Sports Canton Sarajevo-Sarajevo Canton Government in January 2016. - Honorary Academician of UNESCO Diploma awarded from UNESCO International Humanitarian Academy Europe - Asia in accordance with the decision at the general session of the Academy (12.09.2011, Protocol No. 1) held in the Russian Federation, for success and achievements in the field of art and culture. - Artist of the Year 2015 Universal Colours, London Honored by "Universal Colours", a professional Art Magazine, based in London and Helsinki as Artist of the Year. As a prize she received the publication of her artworks, the cover page of the magazine and additional six pages with an excellent critique, by the eminent art critic Ali Najjar: "In all her travels she picks up what they offer different environments of the landscape and the bodies with shapes of pets or exotic diversity, and the changing seasons. Among all this visual richness. Always tend to do the movement, do not sleep.". The magazine is distributed worldwide. Mensura Jahić was born 13.05. 1958 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. With both parents educators and art lovers, Mensura was exposed to art since early childhood. As a graduate of the Department of Classics at the First Grammar School in Sarajevo she was pronounced “The First Poet of Sarajevo”. She has published her works in a book of poetry, entitled "Touching the verse", publishing house “Kultura snova Zagreb” In the month of June 1978, after completing her first year at University of Sarajevo Faculty of Folosophy, she was given the title “Mother” but without a diploma. She regards success, named Emir, as the biggest in her life. She is a citizen of the world but Bosnian at heart. She speaks several languages fluently. In order to feel everywhere like at home, she learned to speak the language of love which has helped her to understand all good people around the world. She spent many years outside her homeland, but eventually returned home, enriched by the experience of other cultures with a broad range of perspectives and with a keen sense for the good and beautiful. For her, Sarajevo is the most beautiful city in the world, and it is where she has enjoyed a rich and warm home for the past 20 years.
