Carole Charbonnier is Art Director, visual artist and photograph, living between Paris and Nord Finistère, Brittany, where her nest is a house in the middle of so frail a country. Big lives, small deaths Introducing the living, which exists but through its ending. In the dwindling biodiversity, we are aware of the vanishing part of oneself, when dies out a bird or an insect. Those small lives that we do not notice, those small sylvan tragedies disdained by our humanity. No death too small to be worth a look. Those vanishing lives connect us with Earth system (ground, water, air, living beings) and strain our inspiration in our society confined in its bubble, undermined by consumerism. My work is a look at Nature’s death within still lifes, last or first tribute to all those lives as valuable as ours.
