About The Artwork

"La Sirena" from Secret Sea project “Secret Sea”, a so intimate sea for us lovers, to leave it most of the times closed in our thoughts, as jealous to show and tell this alien world still lived only by few. Scenes and atmospheres are so strong that they leave breathless and colorless. Black & White fully reflects this intimate attitude of love, respect and great admiration towards sea nature, leaving breath only to its strength. "The idea was developed after handling over thousands of sea photographs in my archive. Among them, thousands of Black & White negatives of unique and rare beauty. After this, I left for some trips in the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea, the Carebbean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea with the intent of making new and exciting shots to complete the work called Secret Sea”. The idea was immediately supported by the Italian editor MORE MONDADORI, who worked on the creation of a pre-edition of large format Cofee-book in a limited and numbered edition (1/20), in English and Italian language. After the release of this prestigious volume only for a few and after a contractual disagreement between photographer and publisher, the book was withdrawn and it went out of production. Now the rights have totally returned to the photographer who has also become the owner of the remaining few copies produced. The concrete result of the whole operation is the creation of a collection of about 300 high quality B & W FineArt photographs, which will be produced in very limited edition (1/3 + 1AP) in different formats. The photographs were taken in the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, the Caribbean Sea and the Indian Ocean This photo is printed with all FineArt Giclée criteria, on 305gr cotton paper. 12-color printing with pigment inks, which ensure longevity without any chromatic alteration. The size is 100x70cm. Photos are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity with all features and the author’s signature. Also the signature and a dry mark on back print.
