Kirill Simakov - the multidisciplinary photographer, specializing in portrait, architectural and fine art photography. Kir’s photographs are placed in galleries and museums in Italy, France, the USA, Russia. In 2023 Kir had several solo exhibitions in Italy as part of the Year of Culture’2023. One of his exhibitions “Horizons of peace” was presented at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Bergamo. This project was created in 2019 in Florida. According to the priests and art critics, the project can act as a unifying link between representatives of different cultures and emphasize the beauty and harmony of the world in the era of globalization and various economic, political and military conflicts. The Church of the Holy Spirit is famous for the masterpiece of the great Italian painter Lorenzo Lotto, with whom Kirill Simakov's photo series is in a conditional dialogue. He became the first photographer whose works were exhibited in this Church next to the great artist. The uniqueness of the photo project is that its documentation is stored in the personal archive of Pope in the Vatican, who thanked the photographer for his artistic research and significant contribution to world art. Also 2 of 9 works of this series are stored in the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts, on which Kirill is Member. In 2019, Kirill’s photographs were selected for the first photo book by Leica Camera AG “Inspiration Leica Academie”. In 2024, the photographer became one of ten finalists of the first annual Global Fine Art Photography Competition and took part in a group exhibition in C+C Photography Gallery in Manhattan. In 2025 Kir won the Digital Photo Contest of Artexpo New York’2025 in Category “Architecture”. Some of Kir’s New York photographs were officially selected in the International Photography Awards’2024. Kirill graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in 2018 and since then has made portraits of famous actors: Giorgio Armani, Ralph Fiennes, Woody Allen, Al Pacino, Elie Wiesel, Megan Fox, Danny DeVito, and others.
